iOS 27 Rumored to Bring Smarter Apple Intelligence Features Across Apps

At least four new Apple Intelligence features could arrive with iOS 27, based on backend code discoveries by developer Nicolas Alvarez and confirmation from MacRumors.

According to the report, Apple is expected to place a stronger focus on Visual Intelligence in its next operating system update. This technology may gain two notable enhancements. One feature could allow users to scan food nutrition labels, potentially integrating directly with the Health app. Another improvement may enable users to add phone numbers or addresses from printed materials straight into their Contacts.

Apple is also reportedly working on updates to its Wallet app. A new feature could let users create digital cards by scanning items such as event tickets or gym memberships. While this functionality already exists in Google Wallet on Android—where AI identifies and converts card information—Apple appears to be developing its own version.

Another Apple Intelligence feature may appear in Safari. The browser could gain an AI-powered tool that automatically names Tab Groups based on the content of the tabs within them, making organization more intuitive.

However, it remains unclear whether these features will be implemented exactly as described, or if they will be included in iOS 27 or a later update.

Still, these developments seem plausible as Apple continues to improve Siri, aiming for deeper app integration and smarter functionality across its ecosystem.

Apple is expected to officially unveil iOS 27 at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026, scheduled for June 8–12, with a public release likely in September 2026.
